Materials you’ll need:
- Cricut Machine
- Wood round 12″
- Cricut Mat
- Red Permanent Vinyl
- Merry Christmas Ribbon
- White Paint
- Red Glittery Ribbon
- Paint Brush
- Pipe cleaner

Instructions:
Paint the Wood Round
Remove the twine from the wood round and paint it with white matte paint. I used about 3 coats of paint, and then allow it dry.
Apply the Vinyl
Download the FREE Red ‘We Wish You a Merry Christmas’ SVG file here. Upload the file to Cricut Design Space. Use your Cricut machine to cut the permanent red vinyl, and then attach it to your wood round using transfer tape.
Make a Bow
It’s time to make a bow for this cute Christmas Wreath. To start, I measured each piece of ribbon at 10 inches. I cut 4 pieces of each ribbon – red ribbon and Merry Christmas ribbon. Cut one piece of red glittery ribbon as it will be used to wrap around the center.
Now cut a dove tail on each piece of ribbon. Next take each piece of ribbon and criss cross them one over the other in the order you would like.
Pinch the ribbon in the middle and wrap it with a red pipe cleaner. Take your glittery red ribbon and hot glue it around the center to cover up the pipe cleaner. Trim your ribbon as needed. Attach the bow to the top center of the wood round with hot glue.
Hang Your Door Hanger
Reattach the twine and hang your cute and easy to make DIY Christmas Door Hanger to the front door. You can also display it indoors with your Christmas decorations above your fireplace mantel, make this to sell, or give it away as a Christmas gift.
As we put the finishing touches on our Dollar Tree DIY Christmas door hanger, we’ve not only created a festive adornment for our homes, but also woven memories and creativity into every piece.
The beauty of crafting on a budget lies not just in the affordability, but in the personal touch and the joy derived from making something uniquely yours.
Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or a first-time DIY enthusiast, this project embodies the spirit of the season – sharing love, spreading cheer, and embracing the magic of Christmas.
As you proudly hang your creation on the door, may it serve as a symbol of the warmth and creativity that make this time of year truly special. Wishing you a Merry Christmas filled with laughter, love, and the joy of handmade holiday magic!
