The Best Dollar Tree DIY Tiered Tray
    Valentine’s
    Day Decorations

I am seriously obsessed with tiered trays! They are so easy to decorate and look great in your home. This year I challenged myself to decorate my Valentine’s Day Tiered Tray with all items from my local Dollar Tree.

Prior to this challenge, I had been shopping around for Valentine’s Day Decorations and really did not want to spend what I was seeing in some of my favorite home decor stores. So, I decided I would check out Dollar Tree to see what they had.

To my surprise, they had some amazing Valentine’s Day Decor that would look perfect on the tiered tray I just bought from Hobby Lobby for 50% off. This is what I recommend when buying your own tiered tray. Wait until they are on sale, do not pay full price if you do not have to.

And although, you can DIY your own tiered tray with Dollar Tree items, I highly recommend that you buy one that is of great quality and sturdy so you can place heavier items on it. This white one you will see below is just perfect because I can use it throughout the year, and it goes with pretty much all home decor styles.

I am so happy to show you how you too can decorate your own tiered tray with beautiful high quality $1 items for Valentine’s Day this year. For more tiered tray Valentine’s Day decor ideas click here!

How To Decorate a Tiered Tray for Valentine’s Day  Using All Dollar Tree Items:

Supplies You Will Need (I purchased all the supplies from Dollar Tree except for the tiered tray):

    • 2 Mr & Mrs Valentine Gnomes
    • Three 5 Stem Pink Rose Bushels
    • Two 4 Stem with 2 Glittery Heart Red Rose Bushels
    • 1 Valentine Heart Vase
    • 2 Mini Heart Shaped Stands
    • Two Mini Valentine’s Day Gift Boxes
    • 3 Valentine’s Balloon Weights
    • 1 Bag of Pink or Red Rose Petals
    • One ‘My Love’ Wood Sign
    • 1 Heart Bucket
    • One ‘Loads of Love’ Wood Sign
    • One Pack of 2 Clear Display Easels

STEP1: Arrange your 3 pink rose bushels and 2 red rose bushels in the heart vase. I put the 3 pink roses bushels in the middle of the vase and the two red rose bushel on each side. However, you can arrange your flowers anyway you would like.

STEP 2: Place your vase on the backside of the top tier of your tiered tray. I want to mention this will depend on what type of tiered tray you have and what size it is. If you have one just like mine, you can place everything exactly like I did.

STEP 3: Next, place the Mr & Mrs Gnomes on the front side of the top tiered tray. Yes, I found these adorable gnomes at Dollar Tree. Fluff out your roses and rearrange them as needed until you like how it looks.

STEP 4: Now that your top tier is done, you can work on the second tier. Take the 2 mini heart shaped stands and place them on opposite sides and then place one mini Valentine gift box on each one.

In the middle of the two boxes, place a valentine rose balloon weight in the middle, one in the front and back. Although, these are balloon weights they are so adorable and make great decor for my tiered tray, and since this tiered tray is very sturdy, they are able to stay in place with no problem.

The second tier is done, now it’s time to finish off your Valentine’s Day Decorations with the third tier!

STEP 5: Prop the ‘My Love’ wood sign on one of the clear display easels and place it on the bottom tray in the front. Because the tiered tray has some depth to it, you want to prop it up on the easel so you are able to see it. On the right side, put the ‘Loads of Love’ wood sign to the right, a Valentine Balloon weight to the left, and the heart bucket to the back.

It looks absolutely amazing like this on my dining room table and nothing else is needed! But, I wanted to step it up a notch so I sprinkled pink rose petals on each tier. I also changed out the pink and sprinkled in red rose petals to see which look I like the best and I must admit, I love them both!

Decorating this entire tiered tray for Valentine’s Day cost about $20 as each item only cost me $1 a piece. Except for the clear easels which were 2 in a pack, so they actually cost about $0.50 a piece!

You cannot even make these Valentine’s Day decor items for a $1. It would cost you more to DIY these products than to just buy them from the Dollar Tree.

To say I am happy with how my Valentine’s Day tiered tray turned out is an understatement. Not only was I able to save money, but I also saved myself quite a bit of time because I didn’t have to make anything myself. The only DIY’ing I had to do was put it all together!

As I said before, your tiered tray Valentine’s Day Decorations do not have to be expensive. Simply, check out your local Dollar Tree and grab Valentine’s Day Decor you would love to see on your tiered tray. Be sure to get it as soon as you see it, because it may not be there when you return. I hoped this truly inspired you to challenge yourself to save money this year on your Valentine’s Day Decorations!
