Are you looking for cheap indoor kids activities to do with your kids at home?
Have you been hearing, “Mommy, I’m bored!”
I for one have heard this many times while the kids are out of school.
My kids love to be on the go. They do not like staying in the house.
If your kids are currently out of school, they may not have much to do. For moms to maintain your sanity that means you have to come up with creative ways keep your kids busy.
I encourage you to also change your outlook on the situation and enjoy this valuable time with your kids.
For me, my kids are home right now, and I am honestly enjoying this time with them.
I am usually so busy running from here to there.
But now, being forced to stay home has truly been a blessing to our family. We have been able to spend alot of quality time together.
So, I decided to come up with a few different cheap indoor kids activities to prevent boredom:
1. Have a baking session
Buy cookie dough or brownie mix for less than $3 and let your kids help you make them. Not only are you teaching them early how to cook, they get to enjoy all their hard work later. As an added bonus, you can buy them a super cute little apron so they really can play the role as a cook.
2. Play fun games
There are a lot of fun games your kids can do while at home. From playing with UNO cards, a monopoly board game, puzzles, family video games and so much more. A box of Uno cards is super cheap and a great investment because this game can be played over and over again!
3. Have an indoor scavenger hunt
Take the scavenger hunt outdoors to indoors! Indoor scavenger hunts for kids are so much fun! Your kids will have tons of laughs and get plenty of exercising running around looking for the items.
This one activity can literally keep this busy for some time. At the end of the hunt, let them pick a prize based on how many points they’ve earned.
4. Make some slime
I don’t know why my daughter has an obsession with slime but she does. She loves to play with it and she loves to make it.
I love buying sliming kits that has different colors and several different items for my kids to experiment with. I’m telling you your kids will love this!
5. Let’s Get Crafty
Having different craft activities for kids to do is a great indoor activity. I just love this window art that I found on Amazon. My kids will really enjoy this craft once completed, not only does it seem really fun but also extremely easy. I can’t wait to try this craft out with my kids.
